SUMMARY:Block print on fabric (advanced: 2 week class)
DESCRIPTION:In this class\, students will design and carve their own lino block and learn how to print it on fabric in a repeating tile pattern. Week one will focus on design and block carving\, and in week two you will print your fabric. You will go home with a beautifully printed piece of fabric to enjoy as is or to use in future projects. \nThis class runs for two weeks on Wednesday evenings\, November 13 and 20\, from 7 to 9:30pm. \nAll materials are included. Students will have the choice of printing a one metre piece of 60″ wide unbleached muslin fabric or one of a selection of other fabrics we have on hand in the studio. \nPlease note that this class uses thinned oil based inks\, and so you’ll need to leave your completed fabric in our studio for a few days after the class to fully dry before you take it home. Wet ink can transfer from your fabric\, and it’s better that it happen in our studio than in your home! \nSpace in the class is limited. To secure your spot in the class\, a non-refundable deposit of 30% is required.
