SUMMARY:Colour woodcut\, multi-block (4-week class)
DESCRIPTION:Multi-block woodcut is a full colour printing method in which separate wood blocks are carved for each colour layer\, allowing for a broader range of colour than the reductive method. In this four session class you will design and create an edition of six to ten woodblock prints using up to four separate colours. This is a fast paced class and we will get right into carving our blocks on the first day\, so you should come prepared with an idea or a drawing for an 8×10 inch block. \nThis class runs Tuesday evenings for three weeks: May 17\, 24\, 31\, and June 7\, from 7-10pm. \nNo printmaking experience is necessary. \nAll materials\, including paper\, are provided. \nLimited to 4 participants. To secure your spot in the class\, a non-refundable deposit of 30% is required. Register in person at Levigator Press or call 519-991-4972. \nClass prices are subject to HST.
