DESCRIPTION:If you are concerned about the environmental impact of disposable clothing\, or just reluctant to say goodbye to a beloved item that has a little hole\, this class is for you! You will learn how to mend holes in your socks and other knit or woven garments using an easy and sturdy woven darning stitch. You can bring your own holey item if you like\, or practice on a piece of provided fabric.  \nOur focus will be on creating beautiful visible mending that embraces sustainable fashion as an aesthetic\, but we will also show you how to make your mending blend in to the fabric for a more subtle effect. All materials are provided and you will leave the class armed with the power to save your favourite clothes from the landfill! \nSpace in the class is limited. To secure your spot in the class\, a non-refundable deposit of 30% is required.
