SUMMARY:Reductive colour woodcut (4-week class)
DESCRIPTION:Reductive woodcut is a full colour printing method in which each successive layer of colour is carved and printed from a single sheet of wood. In this four-session class you will design and create an edition of six woodblock prints using up to four separate colours. This is a fast paced class and we will get right into carving our blocks on the first day\, so you should come prepared with an idea or a drawing for an 8×10 inch block. \nThis class runs Monday evenings for four weeks: February 6\, 13\, 20\, and 27\, from 6:30-9:30pm. \nNo printmaking experience is necessary. \nAll materials\, including paper\, are provided. \nIf you have hand problems and are worried that cutting wood may be difficult for you\, it’s possible to do the class using a linoleum block instead. Just let us know when you register so we know which type of block to prepare for you! \nSpace in the class is limited. To secure your spot in the class\, a non-refundable deposit of 30% is required. Register in person at Levigator Press or call 519-991-4972. \nClass prices are subject to HST.
