SUMMARY:Reductive Woodcut (3 week class)
DESCRIPTION:Reductive woodcut is a full colour printing method in which each successive layer of colour is carved and printed from a single sheet of wood. In this three-session class you will design and create an edition of six woodblock prints using up to four separate colours. This is a fast paced class and we will get right into carving our blocks on the first day\, so you should come prepared with an idea or a drawing for a 6×8 inch block. \nThis class runs Friday afternoons for three weeks: April 10\, 17\, and 24\, from 2-5pm. \nNo printmaking experience is necessary. \nAll materials\, including paper\, are provided. \nLimited to 10 participants. To secure your spot in the class\, a non-refundable deposit of 30% is required. Register in person at Levigator Press or call 519-991-4972.
