If you have a beloved pair of pants you can’t bear to throw away despite a gaping hole, or if you feel uncomfortable contributing to the environmental disaster that is fast fashion, you need to learn this easy and beautiful way to keep your favourite clothes out of the landfill.
Bring your ripped jeans, or any other item of medium to heavy weight woven material, and we will teach you how to extend its life with a sturdy patch. You will learn a few different ways to apply patches, and how to secure your patch with functional and decorative stitching inspired by ancient Japanese textiles. Patching fabric and thread will be provided.
