In this class, students will learn and try several different methods of creating single-impression layers in prints, including ink rolled or scraped onto a flat matrix, ink rolled onto cut or torn paper, card, fabric, and other objects, printing through stencils, and pressure printing. It will be a fun exploration of the printed mark, and you’ll create images that are rich with colour and depth.
All materials are provided, and no prior printmaking experience is necessary. You will complete between one and three one-of-a-kind prints during the class, depending on the level of complexity you choose.
