Stamp Making: Two-part stamps

April 16, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

| $45

In this fun workshop, students will carve and print their own rubber stamp designs for printing a two-colour image using two stamps. You will learn how to carve a soft linoleum block, make a few test prints of your finished stamps, and then print your unique stamp design on a small set of cards and envelopes. The stamps are reusable, so you can take them home and use them with block printing ink or stamp pads to decorate up everything in your life!

All materials are provided, and you will leave the class with three printed cards and envelopes and your finished stamps.

Please come with an idea in mind for a simple design that will fit into a 4 centimetre circular stamp. Two part stamps work great when one is mainly line drawing (a “key block”) and the other is broader blocks of colour. If you want your printing to have even more complexity and depth, think about how your two colours will overlap to create a third colour!

Limited to 10 participants. To secure your spot in the class, a non-refundable deposit of 30% is required. Register in person at Levigator Press or call 519-991-4972.
