In this class you will learn the very basic skills of sewing by hand, with a focus on creating or altering garments (rather than simple mending). You will learn two stitches (plus one that combines the two) for creating a seam, and two types of seams that work well for hand sewn garments. Time permitting, we will also cover decorative topstitching.
Materials and tools will be provided, and you will go home with a sewing sample you can refer to later on while planning your sewing projects! No prior sewing experience is required.
