Stab binding is one of the simplest and earliest forms of bookbinding, using single sheets in which holes are stabbed or drilled and sewn on the outside using a variety of traditional stitch patterns.
Materials and an instruction kit are provided, and you will leave the class with at least one completed book. The instruction kit includes easy to use templates for four different binding patterns that you can reuse at home to create your own unique collection of beautiful books.
There will be a selection of decorative papers available to choose from for your book’s soft cover, but if you’d prefer to bring your own special paper, feel free! Just remember to ask us about paper weight and size requirements when you register.
Limited to 10 participants. To secure your spot in the class, a non-refundable deposit of 30% is required. Register in person at Levigator Press or call 519-991-4972.
