This evening in the studio
Some private instruction clients came in tonight to print some personalized note cards for holiday gifts. Using our decorative capitals, pictured below, and luscious Cranes Lettra letterpress paper, they printed sets of 20 cards for each of about six family members in two hours! They looked so good I think I’m going to borrow their idea and make some similar notecards for a special person in my own family.

ACWR fundraising posters
You can pick up one of these limited edition screenprinted posters, designed by Joshua Babcock and printed at Levigator Press, for fifteen bucks tonight at the Arts Council Windsor and Region‘s annual members’ show reception. All proceeds go towards funding ACWR’s great programming and projects!
Posters are available in navy blue and in very limited numbers in lighter blue or minty green.
Last minute gifts
We’re pleased to have our little shop included in the Windsor Independent Last Minute Local Shopping Guide (although we’re a tad alarmed that December 8 is considered “last minute”: we don’t start buying gifts until at least the 20th!). There are a lot of other unique small local businesses in here too, all worthy of your time. Check it out!

Block print on fabric class
Today in the studio: private instruction session
We had a grade 8 student in this week working on some prints to include in her application portfolio for the WCCA programme at Walkerville Collegiate. She learned how to make screenprint separations, how to cut a lino block, and how to print both, and created a lovely set of three-colour prints with two layers of screenprint and one layer of block print.
